UPDATE

And here are latest played BN XXXII's strength results:

Some Notes:
Mostly of current versions played in older tours, tests etc.
Anyhow, I tested them once more..you know more better!

Meanwhile (about engines which are close to 3750 Elo),
Raubfish SC is still 'best' in draw ratio if playing itself..Btw,
And wonder who will be 1st hero who'll break this record ?)
While other stronger ones produce av. 10%-15% more draws!
Sure that's other question...but for 30-40 Elo is it worth?
If not clear, do you wish to see almost all games as draw?)
If you ask my view sometimes ok but I'd prefer much less...
And I assume that mostly friends will agree with Me too )

Conditions:

More Details:
Current strength test is with Unique suite, but if Balsa, then
Their strength is much closer...actually even under these cond.
It's clear that they are much close (in strength) to each other!

Be aware of that too,
It seems Berserk and Obsidian suffer a bit via Polyglot adapter,
Sad.. but no BIG problem since we've many other alternatives!

Note also that the CS is already started...and any Entry with
53% winning percentage will be qualified into Super League!
And I expect that many books will perform over than 53%+

Good luck to all... )

Congrats to OrgZ and ConRog !

By the way,
OPTIMUS's draw ratio is incredible with low numbers: 81%
And for anyone missed, the current tour is NNUE enabled..why I say like that?
Because there are such engines+books, even as NON-NN their draws are higher!

UPDATE 5

Here is a new Round-Robin tour (only constant players)
And as I expected so far,
Triangulum, Ursa Major, Andromeda etc. perform better...

Code: Select all

Rank Name Elo + - games score oppo. draws
   1 Triangulum SH  3764   10   10   420   53%  3744   85%

   8 Cigar PB       3735   10   10   420   48%  3748   87%
Note: Round-Robin's draw ratio (based on 1680 games) not high: 86%

BM = Blue Marlin 14.6
KA = Kayra 1.0
KD = Komodo Dragon 3.3
PB = SF-PB 101121
SC = SF-SCCT 250122
SH = ShashChess 21.1
SW = Swordfish 14.7
TT = Tetra 1.0

More Details:
SF-PB 101121 avx2 is playing with nn-a68688dd90ce.nnue
In this way, SF-PB's strength is more close to Raubfish SC

And please stay tuned,
Very soon more entries (DON, HCAN etc.) are coming...

Greetings

IMPORTANT UPDATE 6

1st of all,
Unfortunately DON 190524, HCanFree 2404, Pampa 3 etc. books could not qualify..
E.g theirs performances ended with 52% win. percentage, good but not enough...
And this a surprise, but this is life..via qualification is hard, no way each time to
Gain the highest points...it's impossible..at least my organized tours confirm..!

However, after all...once more we noticed that,
Any opening book performance depends on our used conditions:
And according to my experience, here are some main factors:
- Opponents (no much ways to gain vs book with 'strong moves')
- Slower TC, MP, Ponder ON etc (again no much ways to gain..)
- Strong NN assistance plays BIG role..better quality for sure!
But quite often boring...due to almost all games are Draws..

In other words, what I'm trying to say as usual:
I prefer running tours under such conditions,
Where the participants may gain more points...
But sometimes not all in my hands...right ?)

And that's not all.. please read carefully:

Now I'll run a new unofficial test, but important experiment,
Where I will test Pampa 3 (via Raubfich) vs Player1, Player2 etc
I mean under similar cond. as BN XXXI's 2nd league, as main diff.
This time all books will be played by close in strength engines!
In this way, we will have much more useful data for comparing..

If nothing else,
We will see that Raubfish SC is bad or not...

And please stay tuned... )

UPDATE 7, another important update!

Well, the Experimental test is completed...

And again and again we noticed also that,
It all depends on out used conditions, especially the opponents play
As serious and important factor too...sure I refer to gain better points!

Continuing....

And as I stated many many times that,
Any book's performance depends on our conditions, and no doubt too:
The books which are well-prepared gain better points, it doesn't matter
Much if via Raubfish or Polyfish or vs Plyers1 or vs Andromeda etc.
Because other Top entries are already proved to be so..!! and if you
Going to ask, which ones: I say simply: AndrinOliva plus Dara 090724
And DONfree 090724 are managed (in both recent leagues) to qualify..
Sure soon as possible, I hope to share latest BN XXXII's standings

And here are the played results of the mentioned experiment test,
Note: all books are played by very close in strength Top NN engines:

And as we see..Pampa via Raubfish SC is again unstoppable...

Code: Select all

Rank Name Elo +/- Games Score Draw
   0 Pampa 3                        33      11     520   54.7%   86.3%
   1 Player3 SC                     -8      14     130   48.8%   94.6%
   2 Player1 TT                    -35      26     130   45.0%   80.8%
   3 Player2 SH                    -43      21     130   43.8%   86.2%
   4 Player4 PB                    -46      23     130   43.5%   83.8%

520 of 520 games finished.
GAMES:
https://mega.nz/file/y0AlUSiL#WP45jZfXI ... On0Jslghzw

Conditions:
2x Epyc 7B12, CuteChess, 1 Core, Ponder OFF, 40s+05s, 64 MB Hash, 4-MEN

So as final conclusion,
Pampa 3 book + Raubfish SC engine is not bad, poor at all, e.g in XXXI
2nd League: Pampa 3 performed as best: 52%, where now even better 55%
And I hope all these testings to be useful...

Best,
Sedat

Breaking News:
35 entries: 12 managed to qualify... Congratulations!
Really amazing...yes, these warriors came from other
Galaxy...and destroyed everything on the Universe !)
On other hand, I expected more qualified.. but it seems
Some were not lucky or some old-dated or some simply
Are not optimized so well, who knows?) and as usual,
We see again same authors books are at higher ranks!
What does it mean? a lot..Btw, I calculated the overall
Performances of qualified books so far, for examples:
Qualified stats of 2nd League - Overall Performances:
6 Public books: 3779 Elo / 6 Private Books: 3774 Elo
In other words, again the Top Public books break down
The well-known rules! at least under these conditions!
As we know, normally Private ones should be stronger..
Perhaps it is time to focus only over Public books ?)
In this way, many chess friends will benefit for sure!

The Current Leader: Esculapio - Congrats to Angel Morano!

Breaking News - 18.07.2024:
The championship ended...congrats and many thanks to all authors!
DON could not stay 'silent' for much longer...and said the 'last' word!
And with clear margin! 2nd place: MegaTron + Stealth, 3rd. HCAN!
Really very impressive results... not easy to be in one of best ranks!
On the other hand, if checking the overall stats of Super League tour:
Again Public books performed better than Private books, for example:
6 Public books: 3772 Elo / 6 Private books: 3767 Elo, the diff. is 5 Elo
Besides, in both Leagues: the Champions are Public books as well..!
In short, in my understanding: the situation should be just opposite..!
But no problem.. since current CS is just FUN tour..no more no less...
And this is not all, new idea born: there will be a very exciting Battle,
In short, a new GRAND Duel match is coming soon: DON Vs Esculapio,
It will be played via Classic cond. by 9-times Champ: Cfish 030820
You know, sometimes not bad idea to be checked without assistance..
And wishing the best of luck to current Champions of both Leagues!

Super League Champion: DON - Congratulations to Vasid Chouhan!
