Meanwhile, I have to be more clear,
Due to frequent questions about when tours will be resumed

Well, not sure exactly the date, but very likely in September 2023
In other words, I need to take a good rest...I've spent many efforts
So I feel a little tired, plus my life should not be only chess, right ?)
Sure, in that period of time, I will try to visit the forums...but
I do not plan running tours..thanks for your understanding...

One thing more, I'd like to point also that (about latest tour),
The current participated Top books are one of best, strongest..!
I mean that we should not much surprised about latest standings..

By the way, for anyone interested
Here are some shortest wins (up to 40-50 moves):

Enjoy your holiday. :handgestures-thumbup:

Specifically, what book are you talking about?

Thank you.. really I need a good rest..

About what book etc.
Well, I was referring about some people, who believe that
The EXP files should be ranked better/higher than BOOKS

Actually this can be possible...
But you know, more trainings, better work is required...
Or perhaps after 1000-1500 games (per player),
The EXP files will start to show its real power...
We will see.. after all time will tell...

Greetings

I don't know if you are writing about a single book or the top ones. If it's the second case, what books are?

Sure, I mean about the ones, which played:

Code: Select all

Opening Book Modified Book Author
CachoSCCT 19.04.2023 Angel Morano
ChessBot 170623 17.06.2023 Cubail/Cevdet
Hamish 4.1 20.04.2023 Ian Hurnavich
HCanFree Upd 26.05.2023 Hamdullah Can
Leschats 140623 14.06.2023 Jorge Centelles
OPTIMUS 3.1 22.05.2023 R.Constantinesco
SkynetSCCT 10.1 21.04.2023 SkyNet/Alex
V 12.05.2023 Kerveros
In other words, due to nowadays no much free time:
I've realized to test not all of the Top Books / Engines

Btw, no doubt that Goi + SF Polyglot are one of Top players!
In short, I've picked the ones which ranked with highest Elo
But after resuming the tour, I hope to test Goi book too!
And if you'll have a newer vers., just let me know please

Greetings

Hello Chess Friends,

I am very pleased to announce that,
I've managed to organize a new Duel Book Match:
Breaker (Ian Hurnavich) Vs DON (Vasid Chouhan)
By the way, for older Duel results DON vs NimaTiv
https://sites.google.com/site/computers ... match-2021

1st of all,
Both Top books are played by same Raubfish X48c3 SC
Sure and as usual, Raubfish is played as NNUE enabled
In this Duel: Book Learning is disabled (for more fair cond.)
Reason, DON is CTG format, where Breaker is BIN format
DON's released date:10.07.2023 / Breaker: 12.07.2023

Some Notes,
The current Duel ended after 200 games (per player)
Btw, as I stated before, if the score was not equal, then
There would be tie-break matches e.g 20+ games etc.
But as we see, The Duel is ended with score in favor
For DON...so no needed running tie-break matches...

And frankly,
I was so excited current LIVE matches about which
Opening book will manage to be as Winner..and as
Far as I noticed, both books are incredible strong!
Very aggressive..plus theirs opening repertoire is
Not so limited..e.g played various Trend openings!
And produced 92% draws..yes. these numbers are
Not so high...if we count that the matches are played
Under serious test conditions (MP + Ponder ON etc.)
Ok.. too many comments ) and here are Final Results:

The Winner is again DON - Congrats to Vasid Chouhan!
Congratulations to Breaker's author (Ian Hurnavich) too!

Code: Select all

1 DON +9/-6/=185 50.75% 101.5/200
2 Breaker +6/-9/=185 49.25% 98.5/200
Overall's Draw Ratio (based on 200 games) not high: 92%

GAMES

Note also that,
I paused my chess activities, sure I plan to be active.. but
On September 2023, but before I need to take a good rest!

Ok..that's all for now and many thanks for your interest!

Best,
Sedat

Hello Chess Friends,

Well, just I'd like to inform all of you that,
I still receive Duel interests to play vs DON

E.g one of them is the author of HCanFree book:
Hamdullah Can, no doubt he is another Gladiator!

Anyhow, what a pity that,
Just in case...if I will organize...that means
These Duel matches will be never ending process..
And I will never take a good rest ) for this reason,
I hope to run this Duel: DON Vs HCAN, very likely
In September, and once more many thanks for your
Interest and understanding...

See you later )

Best,
Sedat

First time I see you making a head to head match book vs book (but I could be wrong).

I borrowed your ideas for a tournament (posted on the Outskirts Forum too): 1 single thread and NNUE disabled. I also added very short time. I'm sure there will be engine errors, but in this way it's very easy to discover book weaknesses: with all threads, NNUE enabled and long time, the engine would have corrected the weakness and bring the game to a draw.

I like it .. nice to see various book tours!

Interesting to point out that (in your tour):
3 Books (LesChats, DON, Bloom) are leading...
And it seems all books are very strong players...

On other hand, after checking your played games..
And as you say...if your tour is NNUE disabled,
I can say that 97% draw-ratio is very high!

E.g if we use Raubfish x48c SC even as NNUE is enabled,
Less draws may appear...I mean than your current tour's draws

The main difference,
You will get better games in quality!

Why I say like this...
E.g if I am not wrong, via Bullet/Blitz 1 Core:
Between Raubfish SC NNUE vs Cfish 030820 NON-NNUE,
There is more than 100+ Elo

What I can say more, If you wish to test as NNUE is disabled,
I suggest Cfish 030820 to be used...sure via Contempt 40
Not sure exactly, but less than 90% draws are expecting...

And if you wish to test all books as NNUE is Enabled
Then I suggest Raubfish SC NNUE to be used...-

Sure after all, it is all up to you )
You are the BOSS )

Greetings
