By the way, (while we talk about Raubfish..)
For anyone missed... I have some strength testings
Regarding the power of Raubfish SC vs NON-NNUE

Source: Outskirts chess forum (special thanks to Marco)
Otherwise, this useful strength testing would not exist:
https://outskirts.altervista.org/forum/ ... start=2070

Anyhow,
Sorry that I can't share my own test games, due to I'm banned..
What a funny comedy or tragedy story...

Anyhow, here is my original posting (from Outskirts):

And meanwhile,
Right now I've started a new strength test- NNUE vs NON-NNUE:
Raubfish x48c3 SC 1CPU NNUE vs CF EXT 291120 6CPU NON-NNUE

Raubfish x48c3 SC = 1 Core, 128 MB Hash,
CF EXT 291120 C40 = 6 Cores, 1024 MB Hash

More Details,
2x EPYC 7B12, 2min + 1sec , Balsa, Ponder ON etc.

The Duel (NNUE 1CPU vs NON-NNUE 6CPU) is ended....

And as we see, more than 120+ Elo (in favor for NNUE 1CPU)
It seems CF 291120 have to use over than 16 CPU or 20 CPU
To be close in strength as Raubfish X48c3 SC 1CPU

Code: Select all

1 Raubfish X48c3 1CPU +41/-0/=75 67.67% 78.5/116
2 CF EXT 291120 6CPU +0/-41/=75 32.33% 37.5/116
Btw, I have a small request,
Can anyone share please my current strength test games here - Goi forum?
Thank you in advance

One thing more (about my above mentioned request)
Actually our friends Janus, Anton101, SkyNet, ZamChess etc. may try to help...
But unfortunately we all share the same fate...

So...my request is for non-banned members of Outskirts...

For anyone missed, the played games are published at:
https://outskirts.altervista.org/forum/ ... start=2070

Thanks...

I was trying to share these standings + games,
Especially mainly for you that your planning tours will be
Not so bad (in quality) plus it's expecting to see more FUN...

I'm more busy to unroot grass around the potato plants... Covid and holidays kept me away from that field for 3 weeks and plants have grown everywhere. This year I decided to work more on agriculture to cure my disease, the stress and the shock for the loss of my wife.

The thematic book experiment failed. Now I need to release a new Goi book version to get some cash.

The experiment with Raubfisch will be in a second time, I'm very curios to test out if really that engine can produce less draws... If the experiment succeed I will consider to host it again on my site, accepting the risks bound to breaking the GPL license.

Hello there,

Well, another new testings, but very likely
This is as last testings, next time I hope to
Run/Resume tours in September 2023 )

1st of all,
Almost same as recent test..e.g main diff.
RaptoRa 2.2 Eduard Vs SF-PB 060623

As main target and to be more clear,
To see again learning influence but via RapTora....
Plus to see Cutechess GUI's concurrent games: 10
That means, 10 games are played simultaneously..
Plus to see RapTora 2.2 + Eman exp's influence

Code: Select all

1st Test, Elo difference: 14 / DrawRatio: 70%

1 SF-PB 060623 +17/-13/=70 52.00% 52.0/100
2 RapTora 2.2 NoExp +13/-17/=70 48.00% 48.0/100

Note: No any learned exp used, but learning was on
----------------------------------------------------
2nd Test, Elo difference: 24 / DrawRatio: 71%

1 RapTora 2.2, Eman.exp +18/-11/=71 53.50% 53.5/100
2 SF-PB 060623 +11/-18/=71 46.50% 46.5/100

Note: Eman pre-learned exp is used, plus learning on
----------------------------------------------------
3nd Test, Elo difference: 42 / DrawRatio: 78%

1 RapTora 2.2, Eman.exp +17/-5/=78 56.00% 56.0/100
2 SF-PB 060623 +5/-17/=78 44.00% 44.0/100

Note: Same Eman pre-learned exp is used, plus learning on
And it's clear that (in next re-run): RaptoRa is better!!

Conditions:
Ryzen7 4800H, CuteChess, 1 Core, Ponder OFF, 1m+0.6s, 128 MB Hash, 4-MEN
Note: Unique v50 opening suite is used (played the openings as twice)

As Fınal Words,
RaptTora's learning is valid (via Concurrent games: 10)
In first test, SF-PB 060623 is managed to score better!
But in 2nd and especially in 3rd test, results changed!
E.g RapTora 2.2 Eduard + Eman exp is performed better..
No doubt, Eman exp is played as most important role!
And good news that RaptoRa is not so bad via Eman exp!
Note: Eman exp is same vers, which played in recent test..
A very small exp but quite effective (under these cond.)
Even I can say, e.g if we are going to compare all results:
RaptoRa 2.2 Eduard performed better than Eman 8.91 engine!

Thanks for your interest..

I'm just reading it now. My two cents: you should have used the same engine, it would have turned out a really interesting test.

Well, that's all from Me..

Maybe you can try a newer test..because I am on holiday mode )
Then your work/test would have turned out a really interesting test.

But just do not use such engines, which produce close to 97% (as NON-NNUE 1m+0.5s)
Otherwise..it is too boring....at least for my side.. )

That Raubfisch should be a good candidate. I was just advicing, no time for that here either.
